When should I begin seeing a gynecologist?
We recommend that girls have their first gynecological visit between the ages of 12 and 15. This early visit helps establish a trusted relationship, promote preventive care, and provide answers during a time of significant physical and emotional changes.
These appointments often focus on education and reassurance. A physical exam may not be necessary unless there are specific concerns.
What care do I need during my reproductive years?
During your adult years, we provide routine wellness exams and care for concerns such as:
- Menstrual irregularities
- Pelvic pain
- Mood changes
- Abnormal bleeding
- PCOS and vulvodynia
- HPV management and STI screenings
Starting at age 21, we recommend annual Pap smears to screen for abnormal cervical cells.
What happens as I approach menopause?
Hormonal changes before and after menopause can affect your energy, mood, skin, and overall health. Our team provides:
- Menopause support
- Hormone therapy options
- Regular screenings for cervical, uterine, and colon health
- Lifestyle guidance to manage symptoms like fatigue, weight changes, and hot flashes
We’re here to help you feel your best through every stage.
